The
Racecourse Ground, Wrexham is recognised as the world's oldest international football stadium by Guinness World Records and has been home to the oldest Football League club, Wrexham F.C. in Wales since 1873. 2010 saw the Racecourse Ground now play host to two sporting teams with the addition of Crusaders rugby league team who compete in Engage Super League which is played from February through to September, giving the ground a twelve month of the year sporting calendar. The stadium has seen a multitude of other sports in its long and illustrious history hosting rugby union, cricket, horse racing and concerts to sell out crowds.
The Racecourse is the largest stadium in North Wales and the fifth largest in Wales and there are ambitious plans to redevelop the “Kop” end of the ground with state of the art facilities, shops and a hotel to further cement its position as a premier destination and business centre.
